I had been to the Tetons as a child. It was not at all like I remembered it. Maybe it was the entrance from Idaho that I remembered or another back road through the park. I remembered curvy roads and lots of tunnels, rolling down the windows and hollering out them in the tunnels with the craggy granite mountains all around us. It was beautiful but the two main roads through the park did not have any tunnels and the side roads we took were to little lakes. It was so beautiful the granite mountains were stunning, the lakes along them also were a sight to be seen. But Tetons, Yellowstone, and Glacier beg to be explored from the backcountry. A backpacking trip should be in order.
We enjoyed the lake for quite a while. Caleb thought it was too much work to take his shoes and socks off and get in the water. He looks so tall in this picture. I can’t believe how much he is growing.
We had family style nachos for lunch and yep they fed the whole family.
So long for now Grand Tetons!
