Home Just In Time For Grandpa Owens’ Birthday

We slept in again, this whole long haul driving thing is tiresome.  The sunrise was pink and beautiful.  The camera on my phone wouldn’t pick it up. Mom and dad had to go to work early.  Teachers really don’t get three months off like people think.  We visited mom at school and helped her with a poster board life project and dad visited us on his early lunch break getting us out of town just before noon.  We stopped in The Dalles for Burgerville Walla Walla sweet onion rings and marionberry shakes.  Then continued on getting through Portland traffic with relative ease.  It was good to see Chuck and Donna and wish our young grandpa happy birthday.  We made it home to our house just before 8:00pm it was still light enough for the kids to get out and ride bikes with their cousin and friends. We are so glad to be home!
