Mother’s Day 2016

It was different to spend this Mother’s Day so far away from the kids.  We are not even in the same state.  I thought it might be sad, but it actually wasn’t.  I love my work, and being able to be with other mothers new, and grieving, on Mother’s Day can’t be beat.  Every day is Mother’s Day in Labor and Delivery.  We wrote Mother’s Day cards to the mom’s on the unit.  And otherwise had a peaceful shift.  I will be home to my little blessings soon, but in the mean time I know they are being loved on, and having a blast with family.  Just knowing they are so loved blesses me beyond belief.
